No new Illinois-made guns turned up at Friendship, but I did bring home a grand old percussion "schuetzen" target rifle, signed "JOHN MEUNIER, MILWAUKEE WIS."  The price was right and I couldn't resist.

Is there a particular gun/rifle..your looking for and would like to get your hands on? ...sounds like you have most of them.

I'm always looking for guns that were made in Illinois.  Many of the ones that turn up are the only examples known, by a particular maker, or one of just a few.  There were four local makers here near where I live, two of which I have nothing by.  J. W. Cornell, and S. J. Lindbärg, are the ones that I am still looking for. None are currently known to collectors.

Thanks DE!  Actually, the "hunt" is half of the fun.
